Technical Office Hours

In partnership with Newchip

ThinkNimble is an entrepreneurial software development agency. We love helping Newchip founders demystify and think about technology from a “startup-first” mindset. Our office hours pair startup founders with a member of our executive and engineering teams for an hour to dig into their most pressing technical questions. These deep, specific conversations aim to provide real, useful advice to startups we admire.

Find some time below. We can’t wait to meet you.

“The team has so much startup experience that they bring value not just to the technology, but in helping to grow our business.”

— Max Friedman, Founder and CEO of Givebutter

“ThinkNimble is not only an amazing, experienced team of software engineers, but they teach non-technical founders how to lead, manage, and hire a tech team.”

— Duff Archie, Co-Founder and COO of OffWeGo

How to prepare for Office Hours

We launched office hours as a way to be as helpful as we can for founders as they navigate their product development life cycle. The best way to prepare for your office hours is to come with your most pressing technical question in hand.

Some examples of common questions we tackle are:

  • Here is a series of mockups for our product. How can we improve the user experience?

  • I have a big vision for a tech product. What do you think a realistic, MVP version looks like?

  • We have a MVP for a tech product built. What do you think the next step is to scale this up?

  • How do you build a tech product that scales?

  • How do your Project Managers determine how much time a project will take?

  • How do non-technical founders work with technical teams?

  • Here is a mockup for a product feature. Do you see any red flags, as a developer, that would make this difficult to build?

  • How do you run a beta program for a technology launch?

  • Here is a roadmap for building product features. Given our engineering team, do you think this scope is realistic?

  • Here is a product feature we want to build, but we don’t know if it is feasible. How would you go about building this?

  • How do you interview developers? How do you recruit developers?

  • We are looking to hire our first engineer, who should we be looking for?
